Welcome!

Welcome to my site, digichica.

This site contains posts on iPad and web 2.0 apps that support project-based learning, creativity, writing, and collaboration. One feature that makes the site unique is that with every review, there are several samples of student work. I'm a visual learner and do best when I can have some examples to get my ideas flowing. The student works are not meant to be perfect examples but classroom applications that can spark your own ideas or offer an example for students to evaluate before they begin their projects. A picture is worth a thousand words, and an example is that and more. Consider using the examples to have students create rubrics for their own projects. By evaluating an example, pointing out the strengths and weaknesses, you will get much higher quality projects from your own students. Check out the app-tivities for app suggestions and projects or go to the app-y list for a sortable list of apps and corresponding tutorials. Please contact me on Twitter with questions and suggestions.
